Downtown Vancouver Salmon Fishing Report
SOCKEYE - SOCKEYE - SOCKEYE, SOCKEYE and BIG CHINOOK !! We are still fishing hard for Sockeye salmon between the North Arm and the South Arm. Some days we get lucky and find the masses 20 minutes from our dock while other days require an hour run to the South Arm of the Fraser. We are getting limits or close to limits on most charters so this is a great fishery to fill the freezer for the Winter. Depths have been 60 to 90 feet on most days and don't forget to use "dumby" flashers to get the most out of your fishing day. Morning has been a bit better but the afternoons also produced well. We have been lucky to nail a few Springs while fishing for Sockeye and the biggest has been 26 pounds caught on the JohnB earlier this week.
Weather has been good with a few mixed days in there. The wind was our enemy the other day so we are hoping for calm seas and fair winds for the rest of August so we can take maximum advantage of the awesome fishery. If you would like to get out on the water for a days fish give us a call as we go daily.
Good luck and tight lines.
